The Forbidden City is the residence and office of the emperor for last three dynasties. The first half is composed of public rooms where the emperor would meet with his advisors, bestow honors on those who had served him well and preside over religious services.
On our second day we entered the Forbidden City from Tiananmen Square, wandedered through the city and exited at the north gate where our bus met us.
